Raw Materials | Oxalic acid Sodium carbonate Sodium hydroxide |
colorless crystal or white crystalline powder. Tasteless. Dissolved in 27 parts of water, 16 parts of boiling water, the aqueous solution is neutral. Insoluble in ethanol, ether. Decomposition to sodium carbonate and carbon monoxide at 250-270 °c.
oxalic acid dihydrate was dissolved in water, heated, and sodium hydroxide solution was added dropwise to precipitate sodium oxalate crystals, and then washed with water and anhydrous ethanol successively, and dried to obtain pure sodium oxalate.
1. Carbon monoxide and sodium hydroxide react at 160 ℃ and 2MPa to produce sodium formate, which is then dehydrogenated at 400 ℃ to obtain sodium oxalate. Purify by recrystallization with water.
2. Slowly add the sodium hydroxide solution to the oxalic acid aqueous solution at 70-80 ℃ with continuous stirring until the phenolphthalein undergoes a strong alkaline reaction and the temperature remains constant. After the reaction is complete, quickly filter out sodium oxalate crystals, wash with water until the pH value is qualified, wash with a small amount of ethanol, and vigorously filter. Then, under continuous stirring, dry at 150-200 ℃.
